Seeking full-time Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor for our Woodland Hills SUD Outpatient Program. Services will be provided in-person and/or via telephone or telehealth. Person must possess excellent customer service, engagement and communication skills. Candidate at times will act as an advocate, coach and/or mentor and must have a thorough understanding of the SUD recovery process. Person will provide on-going SUD individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, along with treatment plan reviews and updates, education/coaching and assist patients in the development of recovery living skills, support systems, and help link patients to available community programs and services that help achieve long term SUD recovery and document all services provided. Candidates should have at least a High School Diploma (G.E.D), basic computer skills, and be a registered and/or certified as an SUD counselor or an intern registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Bilingual (English/Spanish) individuals and those with at least three years personal experience in SUD recovery strongly encouraged to apply.
Requirements † Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Clinical background required. Masters degree in health or human/social services related field. Completion of Addiction Studies Program and certification with CAADAC, CAADE, or AAHCP. Current registration or certification as a SUD Counselor.
